What does the invalidation of EU-US Privacy Shield mean for my OnePageCRM account?
On the 16th of July 2020, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) invalidated the EU-US Privacy Framework (Privacy Shield) as a safe method to lawfully transfer personal data from the EU to the US.
The Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework was not affected by the ruling and remains valid. The CJEU confirmed that Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) continue to provide a valid mechanism for companies to transfer personal data outside the EU.
Please note that OnePageCRM no longer relies on the EU-US Privacy Framework (Privacy Shield) as a transfer mechanism. We use the CJEU's recognized method of SCCs to accommodate international data transfers. This means that you can continue using OnePageCRM in compliance with EU law.
Here at OnePageCRM, we continue to have appropriate security controls to ensure an adequate level of protection of personal data transferred outside the EU. For more information please visit our security page
