Types of Custom Fields

If you require a field in OnePageCRM that does not exist by default, you can create one as a custom field. 

There are 3 groups of custom fields:

Each group of Custom Fields allows you to create different data types.

Standard Custom Field Types

Standard data types are present across different CRM systems, including OnePageCRM.

They include:

  • Single line text
  • Multi-line text
  • Number
  • Dropdown
  • Date
  • Checkbox
  • Anniversary (Contact field only)
  • External ID
  • Section divider


Field Type "External ID"

Once set up, the External ID lets you open a third-party app with one click.

Create the Custom Field → add a name and app URL template → click Save.

Settings | New Custom Field | External ID

External ID fields can only store unique values once created.

Contact profile | Edit contact | External ID field


💡 Each External ID value must be unique and cannot be used for multiple contacts.

💡 External ID values can be imported with contacts, organizations, or deals.



Example for "External ID"

Find the URL template by opening a page with an ID in the third-party app → copy the URL.

👉 Example: Open a contact profile on LinkedIn.

Social media l Contact Profile l URL link at the top highlighted.


💡 Other pages containing an ID could be an online shop item page, email campaign page, etc.

In OnePageCRM, go to Settings → create the Custom Field → add the URL template → replace the ID with [ID] → click Save.

👉 Example: The LinkedIn URL is https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe-ba184594/.
Replace "jane-doe-ba184594/" with "[ID]" → https://www.linkedin.com/in/[ID]

Get the ID by opening the third-party app pagecopy the ID.

👉 Example: Copy the LinkedIn ID "jane-doe-ba184594".

Social media l Contact Profile l ID highlighted in URL link at the top.

In OnePageCRM, add the ID to the External ID field in the CRM contact.

👉 Example: Add the ID "jane-doe-ba184594" to the External ID field in the contact profile.

Contact profile | Edit contact | Add value to external ID field

Once saved, clicking the ID opens the linked page.

👉 Example: Clicking the ID opens Jane Doe's LinkedIn profile page.

Field Type "Section divider"

💡 Move the divider up or down using drag and drop in Settings.

💡 Section dividers only appear when they contain Custom Fields.

💡 Choose whether Section dividers appear in the Deal Preview under Deal preferences.
