Types of Custom Fields

If you require a field in OnePageCRM that does not exist by default, you can create one as a custom field. 

There are 3 groups of custom fields:

Each group of Custom Fields allows you to create different data types.

Standard Custom Field Types

Standard data types are present across different CRM systems, including OnePageCRM.

They include:

  • Single line text
  • Multi-line text
  • Number
  • Dropdown
  • Date
  • Checkbox
  • Anniversary (Contact field only)
  • External ID
  • Section divider


Field Type "External ID"

Once the External ID field has been created and set up, you can easily navigate to another third-party app with one click.

While creating the Custom Field for an external ID → add a name and the third-party app URL template into the provided fields → click Save.

Once you created the field you can only store unique values in them.

Contact profile l edit and add details to external ID field.


Notes:

  • The value you store in the External ID field must be unique. The same value cannot be saved for 2 different contacts in the CRM for the same external ID Custom Field.
  • The value for the External ID field can be imported with your contacts, organizations, or deals.

To find the third-party app URL template, open the third-party app website (e.g. LinkedIn) → open a page containing an ID in the URL (e.g. contact profile, online shop item page, email campaign page, etc.) → copy the URL.

While creating a new Custom Field for an external ID → add the copied URL link to the Third-party app URL template fieldreplace the ID from the URL template (highlighted in blue) with [ID] → add a Field name → click on Save.

To populate this external ID field, open the third-party app website → open the page containing the specific ID (e.g. contact profile, online shop item page, email campaign page, etc.) → copy the ID.

In OnePageCRM open the contact, organization or deal → editadd the specific ID you copied → click Save.

Once the ID has been saved for this Custom field, you will be redirected to the page you copied it from when clicking on it.

Field Type "Section divider"

Available on the Business plan.

Section dividers allow you to separate your Custom fields for a better overview.

Notes:

  • Once the divider has been created, position it by moving it up or down via drag and drop on the Settings page under Custom Fields.
  • If the Custom Fields under the Section divider are empty, the divider will not be displayed.
  • Under Deal preferences, you can select if Section dividers should be displayed in the Deal Preview.
