Effectively manage your sales pipeline and close deals efficiently with OnePageCRM's Deal feature. The following features will streamline your sales process and help you close more deals.

Add / Edit / Remove a Deal

Add a Deal

There are 2 options to create a deal in OnePageCRM:
Add a Deal from the Contact Page

Open contact → click on the + Deal button.

Add a Deal from the Pipeline Page

Open the Pipeline Page (at the top of your screen) → click on the orange Add Deal button under the name of the Pipeline.

Note:

Specify the details of your deal → click Save.

Expected close date This is great for focusing on deadlines.
Deal stage Assign a percentage as to the probability of closure and track the progress
Deal name (required) Type the name of the deal.
Amount Specify an estimated deal amount.
Deal Items Add previously saved Deal Items to your deal. The amount will be calculated automatically.
Description Write a short description of the deal if needed.
Attach documents These can be selected from your PC, Google Drive or Dropbox.
Deal Custom Fields If you require a field for your deal that does not exist by default, you can create a Deal Custom Field.
Deal Owner (required) Pick a deal owner from the Owned by drop-down list. By default, this is set to Me.
Multi-month (optional) Create a deal that will repeat itself over multiple months.
Commissions (optional) Calculate the commission as an amount or percentage.
Cost (optional) Specify an estimated deal amount to calculate the margin of your deal.
Pipeline In case you have multiple Pipelines, you can select the Pipeline from the dropdown at the top.

Notes:

  • When creating a deal from the Pipeline page, you can assign the deal to an existing contact or create a new contact.
  • You can open your contact in a pop-up while viewing a deal on the Pipeline page to add Next Actions, notes, meetings, and calls. 
  • Once your deal is created you can easily share it with your team by clicking the 3 dots on the Contact Page and selecting  Copy deal link from the dropdown. The link opens the Deal View in the Pipeline tab.
  • You can drag & drop a file from your computer and attach it to a deal. 
  • Notes can be related to a deal see here.

Edit a Deal

Deals can be edited from the Contact Page, Deal list, or the Kanban View of the Pipeline Page.

Open the contact that owns the deal you wish to edit → scroll down to the existing deals and click on the pencil icon.

Make the required updates to the deal → click Save.

You can amend:

Deal name Deal Custom Fields Multi-month (recurring deals)
Amount Date Created Attachments
Expected close date Commission Deal Owner
Deal stage Deal Items Contact assigned to the Deal (within the same organization only)

Notes:

  • Deals can only be reassigned to another contact within the same organization. The deal will then appear in the contact view of the new deal owner.
  • Deals can be reassigned to another contact from the Organization View or when editing the deal from the Pipeline page.

Remove a Deal

Deals can be removed from the Contact Page, Deal list, or the Kanban View of the Pipeline Page.

Open the contact that owns the deal you wish to remove → scroll down to the existing deals.

Click on the 3-dots menu → select Delete deal.

Notes:

  • Deals cannot be removed in bulk, however, the Pipeline page, allows you to update deals quickly.
  • You can undo the deletion of a deal for up to 24 hours after it has been deleted. Go to the Activity Page → Deals tab → click on Undo delete
  • Deals cannot be merged.

Linking multiple contacts to a Deal

Contacts can be linked to a deal from the Contact Page, Organization View, or Pipeline Page.

Once a deal has been created → click on the 3-dots menu → select Link contacts to deal.

Start typing in the input field to search for a contact → select a contact from the dropdown → click Link.

Contacts linked to deal are displayed below the Main contact. The most recently linked contacts are displayed at the top of the list.

Note: To see linked contacts on the Contact or Organization View page, click on Show full deal.

Notes:

  • A maximum of 50 contacts can be linked to a deal.
  • If there are multiple contacts linked to a deal, only the 10 most recently linked are displayed by default. To display all of them click on the Show more link.
  • Contact's linking and unlinking activities are not logged in the TimelineActivities, or Deal history.
  • Contacts can be linked to a deal once the deal is created. It's not possible to link contacts in the Deal Edit mode.

Unlink a contact from a Deal

Contacts can be unlinked from a deal via the Contact Page, Organization View, or Pipeline Page.

While viewing the deal → click on the Unlink icon.

If you unlink a contact from a deal by mistake, you can undo that action by clicking on Undo in the yellow message on the same screen.

Note: To unlink contacts from the Contact or Organization View page → click on Show full deal.

Move a Deal to another Deal stage

Deals can be moved to another Deal stage from the Contact Page, Organization View, or Pipeline Page.

While viewing the created deal → select a Deal stage at the top of the Deal.

Notes:

  • The Kanban View on the Pipeline Page also allows you to drag & drop the deal carts between the Deal stages.
  • You cannot bulk update deal stages (pending lost or won), however, if you go to the Pipeline page, it will allow you to update deals quicker.
  • To configure the Deal stages, see here.

Multi-month Deal

The multi-month deals feature allows you to create a deal that will repeat itself over multiple months. This can be useful if you sell monthly subscriptions to your product or service.

While creating or editing a deal → toggle the slider to green next to Multi-month.

Enter the details of your deal as required. Additionally the  monthly amount and set the number of recurring months → click Save.

Notes:

  • Once a pending deal is created, it's displayed under the specified month/deal stage in the Pipeline.
  • Multi-month Deals are marked with an icon of 2 circling arrows in the deal card of the Kanban View on the Pipeline Page.

Set up a commission for a deal

One effective way to motivate your team is by displaying the Commission amount. This can motivate your team to achieve goals and targets. It shows the direct results of hard work, fostering accomplishment and drive among team members, encouraging them to put in their best effort.

While creating or editing a deal → toggle the slider to green next to Commission.

Enter the details of your deal as required. Additionally the Commission value. You can select between a percentage or exact currency to display the commission value → click Save.

Once the deal has been saved you can view the commission calculation on the Contact Page or Organization view by clicking on Show full deal.

To view the commission calculation on the Pipeline page, click on the deal.

Margin-based Deal

The Cost toggle allows you to display the Margin of a deal and calculate the commission based on the margin.

While creating or editing a deal → toggle the slider to green next to Cost.

The margin will be calculated automatically as soon as you fill in the Amount and Cost fields → click Save.
The same applies to deals with Deal Items.

Once the deal has been saved you can view the margin calculation on the Contact Page or Organization view by clicking on Show full deal.

To view the margin calculation on the Pipeline page, click on the deal.

Once you set up a margin-based deal and have enabled the Cost field for the deal → toggle the slider next to Commission to green as well.

Set the Commission value and select between a percentage or exact currency → from the dropdown for the commission base choose Margin (Amount less cost) → click Save.

Once the deal has been saved you can view the margin calculation on the Contact Page or Organization view by clicking on Show full deal.

To view the margin calculation on the Pipeline page, click on the deal.

Clone a Deal

If you would like to duplicate a deal or copy the details of a deal quickly, you can easily clone it without having to copy/paste it into a new deal.

Open the deal you wish to clone on the Pipeline Page.

Note: You can open the deal from the Contact Page, Organization View, or Pipeline page. However, the deal can only be cloned when viewed on the Pipeline page.

In the deal view click on the 3 dot's menu → select Clone deal.

Click on the 3 dots menu in the top right-hand corner of the deal and select

This will create a new deal with the following details inherited from the original deal:
  • Deal Name (Copy)
  • Deal Amount
  • Deal Custom Fields

  • The above fields can be edited as required and all other fields will remain blank for you to complete.

    Cloned Deal. Edit as required.

    Note: Any attachments associated with the original deal will not be copied to the new deal.

    Deal History

    The Deal history gives you an overview of updates and edits performed for this deal. You can view the Deal History from the Contact page and Pipeline page.

    Open the contact with a deal assigned → scroll down to the existing deal and click on the Show full deal.

    The Deal history will be displayed at the bottom from newest to oldest.

    Pipeline Page

    Go to the Pipeline page and open a deal → click on the Show full deal.

    The Deal history will be displayed at the bottom from newest to oldest.
