Sage Accounting

Sage Accounting provides easy-to-use online accounting and online payroll software for start-ups and small businesses.

You can create billing contacts and draft invoices by installing the Sage Accounting integration. The contact information, such as organization, address, work telephone number, and deal information such as date created due date, description, and amount, will be pushed over to Sage with just one click.

Please note:

  • You need a Sage Accounting account that is fully hosted by the Sage Servers to connect it to OnePageCRM.
  • Only Account Owner or Administrators can configure and manage the integration.

How to Install Sage Accounting

Click on your User/Profile icon (top right-hand corner) → Select Apps and Integrations → under Financial Apps click on Sage → click Install.

Under Configuration, click on Connect to Sage.

Select your country or region.

Note: You can only complete the integration if you are connecting a Sage account from one of the following countries:

  • United Kingdom
  • Ireland
  • Germany
  • Spain
  • United States
  • Canada
  • France

You will be asked to log into your Sage account or create a new one. Allow access to OnePageCRM to finish the setup.

How to create a draft invoice with Sage Accounting

In OnePageCRM open a contact with a pending or won deal and click on the Sage button to create a draft invoice.

In the the Create an invoice in Sage Accounting pop-up make edits as needed → click on Send to Sage to send the draft invoice to Sage.

Some fields will be pre-populated but can be edited as needed.
  • Contact name
  • Created - will default to the date you are sending the invoice to Sage.
  • Due date - will default to 30 days after the Created date.
  • Reference (optional)
  • Description - will populate the Deal name
  • Amount - will populate the Deal amount

Notes: 

  • The Organization name is shown by default in Contact Name.
    • If no organization is saved for this contact, the first and last name will be displayed instead.
  • You can search for existing contacts by typing in the Contact name field.
    • If no matching contact is found in Sage, it will be automatically created.

This draft has now been created in Sage and can be accessed by clicking on View in Sage.

Notes:

  • When creating a new billing contact in Sage Accounting, OnePageCRM pushes the following contact details: First and Last name, Organization, Work phone, and Address.
  • Due dates must be scheduled for a date in the future (can't change due date to one in the past). 
  • If the Amount field is blank in the deal, the draft invoice will not be created
