How to Search Contacts and Activity

Finding what you need in OnePageCRM is quick and easy with the search bar. Pinpoint contacts and activity using different search terms. For example, if you want to find a contact by their phone number or if you're looking for all calls, notes, and deals using a specific phrase then type it into the search bar and you'll find what you're looking for!

Search Contacts

1
Type any of the search terms below in the search bar.
First and/or last name Phone number
Organization Name Email address
2
Select in Contacts or press Enter.

3
Any contact matching the term criteria will be found and shown in the search results.
Notes:
  • Contact search will only return a result if your search query contains the first characters of what you're looking for. For example, if you want to find a contact name "Annabelle", you will need to search for "Anna", not "belle". If you want to find an exact match, use the * (star) method, see here for more info.
  • At least 2 characters are needed to start a search in Contacts or Activity.

Search Activity

1
Type any of the search terms below in the search bar → select in Activity page.
First and/or last name Email address Calls
Organization name Background Deals
Phone number Notes Address
2
Select in Activity page.

3
Any activity matching the term criteria will be found and listed in the Activity page.

Note: The activity search will only return results if your search query contains the first characters of what you're looking for.

For example, if you want to find any activity containing the word "Appointment", the search query must be typed from the start of the word, i.e. "App", "Appoint", and not "point", "pointment", etc.

Finding an exact match for Contact Search

The contact search functionality will return a result only if you input the start of the search query. For example, if you're looking for Annabelle Smith, you will not find this contact by searching for "belle smith", you will need to search for "ann", "anne smith", etc.

However, if you need to find an exact match using characters in the middle of words/ phone numbers, you can add a star (*) before your search query. If you want to search for Anabelle Smith, you can find this with the search query "belle smith", e.g. *belle smith.

Note: For more extensive searches using multiple fields you can use the Advanced Search.
